HOSPITALS may have wasted millions of pounds on energy and water bills but Leigh Infirmary has bucked the trend.
A report by the Tax Payers’ Alliance revealed that £41.4 million, the equivalent to 1,350 nurses, could have been saved by hospitals if they got a better deal on their energy bills.
A breakdown of each hospital across the UK shows that Leigh Infirmary is paying the right amount for its energy and water bills.
