LEIGH Ornithological Society has been holding events as part of its Young Birders' Clubs in a bid to encourage younger people to take an interest in birds.
Vice chairman Tony Bishop said: "We inform them about bird watching, feed and feeders and identification. The talk is illustrated and interactive and we also arrange field trips."
LOS held a bird watching day at Pennington Flash and taught Astley Beavers how to make bird feeders and identify every day birds in their own gardens.
