BIG ideas could be awarded funding from the £2m Community Investment Fund.
Charities, groups, individuals and social enterprises with ideas on how to improve an area are being given a second chance to bid for a slice of the Wigan Council fund.
The second round of the scheme - which gave £2m to 12 different groups last year - is part of the council's Wigan Deal.
Leader of Wigan Council, Lord Peter Smith, said: "These groups are better placed than the council to tackle such issues, so it makes sense for us to seek community-based solutions."
