A FREE seed giveaway has been held at Leigh Library.
It follows the success of last year's event, with Leigh Neighbours once again urging people to pick up their free packet of seeds and do their bit in helping to create a riot of colour across the town this summer.
Board member Christine Farnworth said: "There's nothing like a spray of floral colour to brighten up an otherwise drab corner or bring life to a tired, neglected patch.
"The smallest garden, that forgotten pot or even the most unkempt alleyway can all benefit from a little floral tender loving care. From this small investment, we hope to see residents reap far more than they sow."
