A STOP smoking service has been helping people in Golborne to quit.
Sue Margetts, a Stop Smoking advisor from Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust has been providing weekly support sessions to staff from building and civil engineering firm J Murphy and Sons.
She provides access to nicotine replacement therapy, discusses routines and coping strategies and carries out weekly carbon monoxide readings for any staff there who want help to stop smoking.
One of the staff who has benefitted from Sue’s help is regional director Danny O’Brien who had smoked for more than 20 years.
He said: “I have tried several times to quit smoking on my own but found Sue’s help inspirational.
“This has helped me through my so far successful journey to quit smoking and I’ve now been three months smoke free.”
