A CHURCH has been given new life after dry rot was found.
Dry rot was originally found in the Memorial Chapel of St George’s Parish Church in Tyldesley and meant a large amount of the wood panelling needed replacing.
Thanks to a £9,386 grant from Virador the work was completed while a further grant of £2,351 helped pay for work to remove dry rot found in the vestry.
Then it was found the vestry roof needed replacing and the building needs pointing but thanks to an anonymous donation all the work is now complete.
