THOUSANDS of pupils have been learning about Christmas thanks to a Leigh school.
St John's CE Infant School and Father Kevin Crinks from St Mary's Parish Church invited around 1,000 children to join them over three days for their Experience Christmas event.
The event consisted of six stations called The Preparation, The Announcement, Promises, The Journey, The Message and The Gift which each pupil visited in order to learn about the nativity.
Pupils from Leigh CE Infant School, Leigh CE Junior School and Leigh Sacred Heart took part and helped make a star to decorate the church.
