PATIENTS have rated three Leigh GP practices amongst the best across England and Greater Manchester.

GP practices Dr Shah & Partner Surgery in Tyldesley and Dr Mahadevappa’s Practice in Lowton were voted in the top 10 best GP surgeries while Dr K K Chan at the Seven Brooks Medical Centre in Atherton was also voted highly in the survey which looked across 7929 surgeries in England.

Based on the opinions of nearly one million patients in GP Practices across England the survey includes a wide range of factors that include experience of making an appointment; waiting times at the surgery, confidence and trust in the GP, satisfaction with opening hours, the amount of time the patient gets with a doctor, and whether the patient would recommend the surgery to others.

Dr Shah and Partner Surgery in Tyldesley was ranked 68th out of 7929 surgeries with 97.8% of patients recommending their GP surgery, 93.6% of patients satisfied with opening hours, 99.4% saying they had a "good" amount of time with GP and 98.5% of people had "good" experience of making an appointment.

Meanwhile Dr Mahadevappa’s Practice in Lowton had 94% of patients who said they would recommend their GP surgery to others and was ranked as 72 out of 7929 surgeries in England.

In addition 97.8% of patients said they had "good" amount of time with their GP and 96.2%% who had "good" experience of making an appointment.

Dr K K Chan at the Seven Brooks Medical Centre in Atherton had 92.4% of patients saying they would recommend their GP surgery and was ranked 146 out of 7929 surgeries in England.

97.2% of patients had "good" amount of time with their GP and 96.6% who had "good" experience of making an appointment.
