TWO cycling novices have completed a four-day London to Paris bike challenge to raise more than £2,000 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Leigh women Jenna Green, 25, and Nicky Whittaker, 24, rode 310 miles in what was their first ever charity challenge.

Jenna, a social worker, said: “About six months ago we decided that we wanted to do something for the hospice where family members of mine have been treated and where Nicky’s nan spent time as well.

“We started the challenge on June 7 and I still can't feel my bum.

“It was a physical and mental challenge to keep going but that is nothing compared to what people who suffer from cancer go through and what the hospice helps with.

“It has been the most a rewarding experience of my life, definitely the best thing I have ever done.”
