LEIGH Bowling Club has presented Wigan and Leigh Hospice with a donation of £1,000.
Bowling club president Bernie Ryder, steward Ross Henderson and stewardess Samantha Sheenan handed over the money to Annette Unsworth from the hospice’s fundraising and lottery team.
The money was raised at a sportsmans dinner charity event organised by Mr Ryder at Leigh Bowling Club on Pownall Street.
Annette said: “We are truly grateful for this kind donation from Leigh Bowling Club.
“The money raised will go towards caring for people in our community who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and supporting their loved ones too.”
