LEIGH Ornithological Society is inviting residents to attend a presentation and day trip to find out more about birds.
The free presentation, titled Antipode – At the edge of the Abyss, will be hosted by Jeff Clarke and will discuss wildlife in New Zealand.
The talk on Friday, November 4, will start at 7.15pm and will be held in the Derby Room on the first floor Leigh Library.
Two days later the society will be going on a trip to Marshside in Southport and Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve.
Car sharing will be available, non-members are welcome and the meeting place is Doctor’s Nook car park, opposite Leigh Library, at 8am.
Visitors are advised to come prepared for wet and cold weather and to bring sufficient refreshments to last the day.
