AN animal charity is holding a festive fundraiser this Sunday (December 4), at Bar M, Lime Street, in Tyldesley.
The fundraiser, which is being organised by Makants Greyhound Rescue, is being held from 12 noon until 5pm, to raise funds for the dogs.
The fair include stalls selling toys, gifts, dog accessories and activities ranging from hook a handbag, tombola to a raffle and auction. Hot food and refreshments will also be available.
The charity based at Makants Farm, on Mort Lane in Tyldesley, was founded in December 2013 by Siobhan Hoppley along with another two trustees.
Volunteer Jo Maxwell said “Over time the charity has grown and now has more than 30 volunteers helping out with things like fundraising, administration, home checks and fostering along with some other volunteers who look after the dogs.
“To date the rescue has proudly helped 130 dogs find forever homes and helped educate people about greyhounds helping people understand how gentle and trusting they are.”
The charity uses the money to look after dog welfare which include neutering, vaccination and microchipping the animals.
