A BARBER from Leigh is set to feature in this evening's popular series First Dates.

The Channel 4 series, features individuals sat on a barstool awaiting the possible love of their lives dropping by and sharing in a conversation over couple of drinks and some fine dining at a London restaurant.

This evening's show features Lee Felton, 33, who runs Barbers at Nirvana Sunbed Shop, St Helens Road.

The series, which was filmed in summer, tries to match up people with similar tastes and pursuits and Lee is hoping that tonight's match will bring him happiness He said: "I have lived in Leigh all my life and have a history of relationships which have never quite worked out, so I thought I would give the show a shot."

To get onto the show Lee went to interviews both in Manchester and London, in which the show's researchers asked him about himself and his interests.

He explains: "In the past I have had two relationships which last about five years each and since then I had been single for the past five years. I had got to the point where I was asking myself if I could really be bothered."

Lee who admits posting 'daft' videos of himself onto Facebook and You Tube, has had a number of jobs before becoming a hairdresser.

Not giving anything away about how it goes tonight, Lee admitted he and the girl he was matched up with had both been nervous given that it was shot in the morning and he had already had a couple of drinks before she arrived at the TV bar.

"I am being trailed as the man who forgot the name of his date, but as people will see it was a combination of nerves and drink and we just laughed it off."

To see if Lee meets the love of his life tune in to the programme tonight from 10pm
