A DOG training centre has been boosted by a £4,000 donation stemming from the help it gave to a girl with severe sight problems.
Staff from NatWest Lancashire's commercial team wanted to raise money for Atherton Guide Dog Training School as a thank you for the educational support and mobility training it gave to ease the impact of a colleague's daughter's severe sight condition.
Milly Read, Emma Taylor, Lydia Needham, John Parker and Andy Bycroft began fundraising in July.
They undertook several challenges, including climbing Mount Snowdon, and hosted live music events.
Emma Allen-Taylor, engagement officer for Guide Dogs, said: “This is an excellent fundraising effort.
"The money will help make a real difference to those living with sight loss.”
The Atherton centre at Gibfield Park Avenue is one of only four Guide Dogs training schools in the UK and relies on donations from the public.
