POLICE are hunting a man who robbed a newsagents at knifepoint.
They have released CCTV footage of the robbery on Elliott Street, Tyldesley.
The man entered TB and D Monks Newsagents carrying a knife and with a mask covering his face.
He demanded cigarettes from the shopkeeper and when they refused he took three bottles of spirits from the shelves and ran off towards Waring Street.
Officers are appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV footage or has information about the robbery at 6.05am on Monday, February 20, to come forward.
PC Gary Samosa, from Greater Manchester Police’s Wigan borough division, said: “Although the robbery happened early in the morning there may have been people in the area who saw something suspicious in the area at that time.
“If you are one of those people who have information or recognise the man in the moving footage, either by the way he is carrying himself or what he is wearing, please get in touch with us.”
