A CHILDREN’S sports education provider has announced plans to extend its services to more schools.
Salford-based EdStart has recruited franchisee Trish Surtees to deliver physical education classes to primary schools in Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley and Astley.
The organisation will also offer after school classes and multi-sports holiday camps.
Trish, from Leigh, has 20 years of experience as a PE teacher.
She said: “Sport is something I am hugely passionate about having taught it for many years and working as a school sport co-ordinator to deliver the national framework for sport in order to encourage children to get active.
“With childhood obesity becoming a growing problem across the UK, it is excellent to be involved in a service that makes such a difference to children’s lives.
"I am really looking forward to getting out and about to show the high quality PE provision we can deliver, to help engage youngsters and make sure we help them stay healthy and active well into adult life.”
