COMEDY star Peter Kay is putting on another question and answer event to help an Atherton mum-of-three in her fight against terminal cancer.

The Bolton comedian held two events at Blackpool Opera House in December to raise more than £148,000 for Polly Haydock.

He will return to the venue on Sunday, June 4, with all the proceeds again being donated to pay for the 37-year-old's immunotherapy treatment at the Hallwang Clinic in southern Germany.

Polly, of Gadbury Fold, was initially diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2015.

She was told in July that she had six months to live after the cancer spread into her lymph nodes, bones, liver and lungs.

Polly refused to accept the devastating news and learned about immunotherapy after researching alternative treatments.

It is designed to boost the body's natural defences to fight off diseases, like cancer, by using substances either made by the body or in a laboratory to improve or restore immune system function.

A GoFundMe page with a £410,000 target for the revolutionary, potentially life-saving treatment has now passed the £222,000 mark.

Tickets priced £35 for the new Peter Pay fundraiser are now available to buy on major event selling websites.

The doors will open on the night at 7pm.
