A SUPERMARKET is accepting nominations for its 2017-18 Local Charity of the Year.
After the nominations deadline of Sunday the Sainsbury’s store in Leigh will shortlist three charities for the annual support scheme.
A public vote held between June 12 and 25 will then decide who will succeed Dementia Buddy.
The winning charity will receive a year of support from the store, which includes fundraising and awareness raising.
Julia Blackett, manager of the store at Parsonage Retail Park on Atherleigh Way, said: “There are so many fantastic charities in the area which do brilliant work in our community.
“We have had a great year working in partnership with Dementia Buddy and we are excited to be offering a new charity the chance to receive support from our customers and colleagues.”
To nominate a charity you need to collect and fill in a form from the store.
