CARE agency staff were given free health checks last Thursday as part of the national Carers Week.
Excel Care Management Services Ltd, which is based on Bradshawgate in Leigh, welcomed Wigan Council public health officer Adam Glover and members of the Healthy Routes team as staff were given blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes checks.
They also had the chance to use Tanita body composition scales and receive healthy living advice.
In three months the health checks will be made available to the staff again to see if goals for healthier lifestyles have been achieved.
To assist in achieving these goals fruit will be made available to them every day at the Bradshawgate office.
A spokesman for Excel Care Management Services Ltd said: “We wanted to say thank you to our dedicated staff team who work very hard in providing care and support to people in their own homes in the Leigh community.”
