DOGS will be given a chance to shine at a fundraising competition.
Wigan and Leigh Hospice shop volunteers Anne Hill and Sharon Jones have organised a fun dog show at Higher Fold Sports and Social Club in Leigh on Sunday, August 6.
Held between 11am and 4pm, there will be 15 categories for pooches to compete in.
There will also be a range of stalls, a tombola and a raffle at the club on Kensington Drive, with all the proceeds going to Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
The event raised more than £1,000 for the Hindley hospice last year.
Crufts judge Julie Glynn will decide the winners this year, with the categories including Dog with Best Trick and Dog with Waggiest Tail.
Each category costs £2 to enter, or you can pay £5 to enter your dog for three categories.
Dogs can be entered for the categories from 10am, with the raffle taking place at 2pm.
There will also be food and refreshments available.
For more information about the event call Anne on 01942 257766.
