A SEVENTEEN-year-old girl from Leigh will be sentenced next week after being found guilty of a racially aggravated assault.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was jointly charged with a male for the offence committed in Wigan on April 14.

She appeared at Greater Manchester Youth Court sitting at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

She is set return to the court for sentencing next Thursday.

The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Roman Katulski, of Railway Road, Leigh, has to pay £470 after admitting drink driving without a licence or insurance in Atherton on Wednesday.

The 47-year-old was also banned from driving for 40 months at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

The £470 is made up of a £350 fine, a £35 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
