AN 18-year-old has been ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work after admitting assaulting a male and a female.

Devon Mullen, of Hulme Road, Leigh, carried out the attacks in Wigan on June 10.

He appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

On top of the community service Mullen must adhere to a two-month curfew requirement with electronic monitoring and pay £300 compensation to both victims.

He also has to pay £325 court costs and an £85 victim surcharge, with the total bill being £1,010.

The bench also imposed a year-long restraining order on Mullen, prohibiting him from contacting either victim directly or indirectly.

Jason Pasquill, of Oakell Grove, Leigh, was jailed for 21 days after failing to surrender to court bail on seven occasions and failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed following his release from prison.

The 41-year-old failed to attend three planned office appointments, in April and May, and did not provide evidence to excuse the absences.
