CHILDREN from Leigh have been treated to a special visit by Santa at a festive rotary club party.
Father Christmas joined 45 youngsters at Leigh Masonic Hall which involved an afternoon fun and games and dancing with a meal served to the them later in the day.
The big man in the red suit also handed presents to the children to add to their delight.
Rotary of Leigh president Brian Mills said: “Some mothers have took to social media to say that their children have declared the afternoon as being the best party they have ever been to.
"These comments made the party well worth organising.”
Mr Mills also reserved praise for the masonic hall directors for allowing the club to use the venue for the event and caterer Marks with Splendour for providing the food.
Santa is currently in the middle of a tour visiting children on the streets of Leigh on the Rotary Christmas Sleigh with details of the routes listed on leigh.rotary1285.org.
