CAR owners are being urged to be vigilant after a number of thefts involving the use of a fake fob.
Residents in Hindley and Hindley Green have had their vehicles stolen when their fobs have been synchronised to a fake fob to get inside them.
Police are asking people to keep their fobs away from front and back doors and to consider using a steering or wheel lock.
