A DRINK driver who assaulted a woman has been handed a community order.
Anthony Hunt, of Kenyon Lane, Lowton, was three times over the limit when he was stopped in Wigan on June 30.
The 55-year-old admitted assaulting a woman on the same day.
The defendant, who appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, has been banned from driving for two years which may be reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course.
Hunt has been ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work and carry out a rehabilitation activity requirement.
He has also been told to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £85, court costs of £85 and a compensation fee of £100.
