A MAN who was knocked down by a motorcycle in Leigh earlier this month died two days after the crash, say police.
Ghulam Rasul, who is 74 and from Leigh, died as a result of his injuries suffered at 2.20pm on Monday, September 10.
Today police confirmed that he had died on September 12.
Emergency services were called to Market Place near to the junction of Lord Street following reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
Police, the ambulance service and the air ambulance attended and two men were taken to hospital.
A police spokeman said: "The rider of the bike continues to help officers with the investigation.
"Serious Collision Investigators closed the road for several hours while carrying out forensic and reconstruction enquiries."
