THE new infant play area has been unveiled at St Richards RC Primary School in Atherton.
Last year, the school opened a Sensory Room and this year is continuing to invest in children’s development by installing the new infant play area.
The play area consists of a sandy lodge, mud kitchen and digging pit, bridge, log steps, balance beams, mounds and a crawl through tunnel.
The grand opening took place on September 27 and The Independent Network, Atherton, were present at the event and Stuart Gerrard, of The Independent Network and an ex-pupil of St Richard’s, had the honours of cutting the ribbon.
