A POWER cut has hit an area of Atherton this morning (Thursday).
The issue was first reported at 9.42am, Electricity North West said.
Some properties in postcodes around an area of Bolton Road and nearby streets, including Marlborough Road, Martlew Drive and Shakerley Lane are among those affected.
Power is expected to be restored by 3.42pm.

An Electricity North West statement this morning said: "This power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident with the underground cable that provides electricity to your home or business.
"We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."
