THE new landlady of a traditional Tyldesley pub is hoping to breathe new life into the venue and create a "home from home" for regulars.

Working in the pub industry since the age of 18, Natalie Fields has a wealth of experience and prides herself on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the venues she has managed.

Originally from Newcastle, Natalie was previously running a Stockport boozer when the bosses at Inglenook brewery said that the Railway pub in Tyldesley "needed a bit of a boost".

Taking over the Wareing Street pub in late January, Natalie said: "I've worked in pubs for 16 years and I love it. I love getting to know the regulars and giving them something to leave the house for.

"A pub can be a home from home where people come to have a chat and get things off their chest, and that's what I like to create.

"Things have been pretty busy to start with and everyone has been so nice so it's been a good experience so far."

To encourage people into the pub, known as one of the only backstreet boozers left in Tyldesley, Natalie said that there will be a variety of singers and live entertainment planned for the coming months.

A variety of drinks are also on offer, while the pub also showcases live sport and contains a pool table in the side room.
