AN "EXTENSIVE" investment has renovated Leigh's KFC into a "state of the art" fast-food restaurant.

The Parsonage Retail Park KFC had been closed for a refurbishment project in recent weeks, and has upgraded technology and added an extra Drive-Thru window to double the takeaway capacity.

There has also been an overhaul of the venue's interior to boast a "completely new dining area", complete with state of the art self-service points and complemented by a table service experience, with the renovation project bringing 20 extra jobs to the town.

The new designs are said to have come from customer feedback, with the mayor of the borough, Cllr Kevin Anderson, officially marking the restaurant's reopening last week.

The local KFC team also points to the important role that it plays in the community, as it works alongside the UK Youth charity to help  local disadvantaged young people to break the cycle of inequality, disadvantage and unemployment.

KFC Leigh also works closely with the FairShare charity to stop good food from going to waste.

Through this scheme, KFC Leigh has donated tons of chicken for redistribution to local charities and community groups to help feed those less fortunate in our local community.
