MOTORISTS parking in and around Organ Street-Railway Road should be on their guard for theft from their vehicles.

In broad daylight last week two cyclists smashed the window of a car parked at the top of Organ Street and grabbed a salesman’s briefcase before riding off.

Fortunately they were foiled - all they got was paperwork! There was no laptop this time.

What a nerve they have committing these offences in a busy area and at lunchtime too.

The 20-30 years olds must ride round town looking for cars to rob.

That’s a sign to everyone not to leave any valuables on show and if we do it’s our own fault. Police regularly issue a warning against this but people still have that “it won’t happen to me” attitude.

Unfortunately it does.
