TEENAGE band Still Unknown, featuring Gemma Mellor, James Dewhurst, Matt Jenkinson, Elliott Mills and Connor Ashton, continue their spiral of success.

Having completed an apprentiship of gigs in Atherton, Leigh and Wigan the young musicians played as main support to headliners the Northern Lights at Manchester Roadhouse last Saturday.

In a pulsating 30 minute set consisting of self-penned fan favourites 'Take a Walk With the Devil' and 'Livin' on The Edge' the band had the crowd bouncing.

With soaring vocals, driving rhythms and blistering guitars the band had the crowd begging for more at the end.

Promoter Richard Alsop of Who Cares Promotions said: " I hadn't seen the band before but was blown away by the set. I'll definitely be featuring them again in the near future."

The band, recently voted 'most promising band of 2011' at Tyldesley Fred Longworth School Battle of the Bands contest will be playing more local gigs in the coming weeks before completing recording sessions in April with producer John Kettle of Jaraf house Recording Studios.
