Get well soon, Hazel

This article is brought to you by our exclusive subscriber partnership with our sister title USA Today, and has been written by our American colleagues. It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald.

FOR many years I have had a weekly chat with the Lighthouse Shop manager in Tyldesley.

I only know her as Hazel. She put her heart and sole into the job, working really hard, and often alone.

I, and probably hundreds of other regulars have missed her cheerfulness over recent weeks.

I’m sorry to learn that she is not so good and in hospital.

I don’t know her surname or her address, so Hazel, on behalf of everyone who is unable to contact you “Get well soon and hurry up back. ”
