COLLS drew both of their latest North West Counties League Division One games 2-2.

AFC Darwen came to Alder House and were excellent in the first half, with goals in the 10th and 43rd minutes giving them a worthy half-time lead.

Colls had the wind advantage after the break and were much improved.

Numerous chances were created but the visitors remained resolute and looked likely to get their first victory over the black and white stripes.

In the 93rd minute Paul Atherton scored what looked like a consolation goal but in the 96th minute a Darwen defender headed a pin-point Daryl Patton free kick into his own net.

Formby came to town on the back of a 13-game undefeated run which had seen them rise to second place in the table.

They took the lead in the 19th minute but had a player dismissed for violent conduct on the hour.

Colls pressure told when Jake Patton smashed in the equaliser with 10 minutes left and then Paul Atherton put Colls in front with his 100th goal for the club.

Formby showed true bottle to go straight down the pitch and equalise.

On Saturday Colls host 1874 Northwich, kick off 3pm.
