EAST scored their 24 points in the second half. Adam Holland scored 16 points including two tries, Ryan O’Toole and Ben Horan adding further tries.

Blackbrook 20 Leigh East u18 34

EAST won back-to-back league games for the first time this year with a well-deserved victory at Blackbrook.

East dominated most of the game but eased off in parts to let the hosts in for some well-worked tries.

Tries for East came from Pat Rainford, two, Billy Allred, Ellis Noon, Jack Hanson and Sam Arrowsmith with Tom Worthington kicking five goals.

A GOOD team performance in spells led by Jack Reynolds was let down by some ill-disciplined play when in the lead which saw the under 16s dumped out of the NW Cup.

EAST’S nine-game unbeaten run came to an end in the cup semi final. East’s tries scored by Danny Surridge and James Hall.

EAST have a chance to redeem themselves next week when they face Langworthy in the cup, try from Harry Lewis.

EAST put in a powerful team performance to leave Thatto scoreless.

Inventive play from Jordan Fishwick allowed Adam Jones to go over first, followed by a great individual run from Ryan Barnes.

Barnes crossed again before half time, with fellow man-of-the-match Fishwick adding the final try after the break.

EAST put into practice what they have worked hard on in training, keeping a strong defensive line and solid low tackles.

Tries came from Broady Allred, two, Luke Thorpe, two, Declan Gregson, Jasper Cockle, Jude Wright, Bobbi Allred and man-of-the-match Coby Robinson.
