TYLDESLEY’S impressive form continued in the Bolton and District Water Polo League against newcomers Fleetwood at the Pelican Centre.

In the first quarter Tyldesley took the lead by 5 goals to 2 with a Dennis Price hatrick and 2 goals from Jonathan Stafford.

Jonathan Stafford scored three times with Adam Toone and Dennis Price netting twice to give Tyldesley a 7-3 lead in the first quarter and by half time they were leading 12-5.

Skipper Stafford took the opportunity to rotate his squad, but a tighter third quarter saw Tyldesley’s lead reduced to 15-9 after another Stafford double and one from Robert Bond.

Eight goals to Fleetwood’s three in the final quarter saw Tyldesley dominate as they sealed the 23-12 win with braces for Price and Stafford added to by goals for Toone, Bond, Lucas McNulty and Tyler Turner.

Patrick Rowland and Lee Toone each received three personal fouls in the quarter and were excluded from the rest of the game.

Aaron Atherton enjoyed a fine game in goal as the younger players continued to improve.
