LEIGH fell to their sixth straight defeat of the North One West season at high-flying Wilmslow.
The home side's excellent backs found it easy to open up a weakened Leigh outfit, who succumbed 47-7.
Wilmslow opened the scoring with an unconverted try, but Leigh hit back with their best spell.
The ball was moved left to the returning Adam Dyson, who used his pace and strength to score out wide.
Rob Drake converted to give Leigh brief hope, but Wilmslow scored two more converted tries before the break.
The second half was one-way traffic as the hosts attacked from deep.
Leigh had some good periods but conceded four more scores.
Despite the heavy loss, special mention must go to the young Leigh halves Kieran Duffy and Drake who worked tirelessly to stem the flow of Wilmslow attacks.
Wilmslow moved up to fourth in the table while Leigh remain third bottom, still searching for their first win of the campaign.
Their next match is at home to 10th-placed Blackburn on Saturday.
