Despite a few early stutters, Bongs performed well and came away with all five points, against a very physical and stubborn side.

However, the win was marred, somewhat, due to a shoulder injury to youngster Harry Hutton, who’s performed well, but it looks like his first senior season, as sadly come to a premature end.

Along with a brilliant defensive display, the visitor’s set piece was instrumental, in gaining this win. Excellent lineout feeds from Rob Cox was supported by Matt Crampton and Lee Davies, who were both fantastic in the air, allowing Tyldesley to retain their own ball, along with stealing many of the hosts.

Bongs pressed hard, but it took thirteen minutes before a resilient defence cracked. Luke Dufeu Crossed for good try, which was a result of excellent forward drives, before the ball was shipped out, conversion missed.

Tyldesley continued to press hard but bombed a couple of good opportunities, and had to wait until the thirty fifth minute, before another five pointer was recorded through Replacement, Craig Pulman, which was quickly followed by a third try, via Matt Soulsby, after Zack Sargent made a superb break, from just outside his own twenty two. Paul Martin converted half time 0-17.

Good early pressure from Oldershaw, had them pull three back, after converting a penalty within the first few minutes.

Tyldesley struck three times in ten minutes, all converted by Martin, which effectively secured the points, with just under an hour gone.

Pulman started the ball rolling after touching down for his second, after some forceful pick and drives. Ash Worsfold recorded the next two, both a result of Mark Dickinson Breaks, with the second, being a near full length run, evading several defenders on route.

Soulsby got his second, after touching down for the seventh and final try, after the forwards and backs linked superbly, with Sargent, brilliantly holding the ball up, before a cheeky, but delightful off load opened up the defence, Martin added the extra two.

MOM was shared Between Adam Fetherston and Matt Crampton, with both leading from the front, throughout the contest.
