GENESIS youth teams playing in the Warrington Junior Football League enjoyed a good day.

Under 15s Solar visited second placed Monk JFC Rangers and came away with a handsome 4-1 win.

This puts them in third place and potentially either top or runners-up spot is on the cards with four games remaining.

Under 15s Turbines entertained table toppers Cromwell Athletic Spitfires in a game they had to win to stay in with a chance of taking the title.

Turbines did just that, edging it 1-0 to put them into third place on 22 points with six games to play.

Under 17s Radiation secured a 9-2 victory over Sutton FC Locomotive.

They remain fifth on 22 points but with six remaining games they could push themselves into the top three if they keep up their current form.
