THERE were some outstanding performances from Leigh Harriers in the final league match of the Young Athletes League on Sunday at Stanley Park Blackpool.

Keely Hodgkinson broke the U17 ladies 1500m club record running a time of 4.29.00 winning the U7 girls 1500 mts ranking her in the top three in the North; Keely also won the 300 mts in 42.2 sec.

Sanna McLean equalled the club record in the U17 girls 80 mts hurdles in a time of 12.1; Sanna also won second place in the Shot 9.95 mts and Long Jump 5.04 mts.

U20 lady Olivia Stones ran outstandingly for the team competing in the 800 mts 2.44.3, 1500 mts 5.14.3 and the 3000 mts 10.51, Olivia was 1st in all her races, gaining maximum points!

Ella Unsworth ran a personal best time in the 100 mts of 12.8 sec finishing in first place, and in the 200 mts she ran 26.8 sec for 2nd place.

Josh Knox won the Hammer competition throwing 31.11 mts and 2nd in the Shot 9.68 mts.

Jess Arnison also finished in first place in the Hammer competition 33.75 mts; Karran Kapur-Walton won points in the Pole Vault 1st in 3.40 mts and running a personal best time in the 100 mts of 11.8 sec 1st and 55.5 sec for third place in the 400 mts.

Josh Pardoe equalled his best time finishing in 2nd place in 100 mts with a time of 12.00 sec and 5th in the 200 mts 25.2 sec. Emma McIntyre ran a personal best time in the 800 mts of 2.32 for 2nd place, whilst team mate Ciara Teanor won the B race in 2.34 sec.

Joanna Smith running in the U20 race was 2nd in the 800 mts 2.49 sec. Good team points were won in the field events with Laura Hickey finishing 2nd in the Shot Put event 8.95 mts, Emma McIntyre 3rd in the High Jump 1.25 mts, and in the Javelin competition Emily Lewtas won 3rd place in the A competition 26.75 mts, Ella Unsworth 3rd in the B event 16.55 mts.
