LEIGH Miners Rangers secured a televised derby triumph with a resounding 30-6 win in miry conditions against early-season strugglers Ince Rose Bridge.

Miners were in command from the moment Tom Farrimond opened the scoring.

Further tries followed from Joe Digby and man-of-the-match Darryl Kay as he tore through from half way, offloaded to Josh Ward and then took the return pass to dive over the line.

With Ward adding two goals Miners led 16-0 at half time.

There was no let-up after the interval with further tries from Brad Hargreaves, Rob Crompton and Martin Gray as Bridge were restricted to a late consolation score.

This weekend Miners have their first away game with the visit to Lock Lane.

The Alliance team went down to a heavy defeat at Latchford with Lewis Grimes scoring the only try and Tony Doyle the conversion. Dan Goddard was named man of the match.
