I’VE been recently surprised by all the controversy surrounding Benefits Street on Channel 4.
James Turner Street looks great compared to some of the streets in the Leigh West area.
Have a walk around Grasmere Street and Glebe Street at night.
It’s a no-go area with gangs on most corners and drug dealers openly plying their trade.
This area is a dumping ground for scum from all over the world.
The police do not patrol this high crime rate area and our councillor turns a blind eye to this once great area of Leigh.
I hope that the good people of this area of Leigh remember this and vote in forthcoming elections.
