COULD you tell me if people who ride their bicycles on the pavement are breaking the law?
I have narrowly avoided injury at least four times.
An old lady can be fined almost £100 for feeding a pigeon, a woman can be fined £320 for throwing a cigarette butt on the ground and a passenger in a car can be fined £305 for not fastening a seatbelt.
Also one can be fined £100 for leaving a wheelie bin on the pavement.
Surely the fine for riding a bicycle on the pavement, putting people’s safety at risk, should be at least £500 to £600?
If someone in authority did something about this dangerous situation, they would make a fortune in fines.
