THERE certainly are otters in the Leigh area.
There are a group currently residing on the river Glaze near to Warrington Road. I know this because I have seen them myself. As a keen bird watcher I use the river for that purpose.
The river Glaze is now very clean and has plenty of fish in it. I can’t give the exact location because of the idiots that will see it as an opportunity to hunt the otters.
If the Journal wants to give my e-mail address to A J Bond I would happily show that person the location, sorry no guarantee of a sighting as they are extremely elusive.
