IN response to the letter ‘It is not rocket science’.
Six months ago I was also the victim of a theft in Leigh Library. I had my purse stolen while using the computers.
If I need a library now I visit the fantastic one at Atherton. I found a visit to Leigh Library a totally unpleasant experience.
Firstly, you’ve got to make your way past a gang just to gain entrance. When inside it gets no better.
No matter how loud or badly behaved people are, nothing happens; the staff seemed reluctant to call the police. In my opinion, Leigh Library is an accident waiting to happen.
Personally, I will never venture inside there again.
