I TOTALLY support Mr Burnham’s loyalty towards his constituents and the rest of the UK.
I am a nurse and have, as have many others been the victim of this current Government’s ‘in it together’ policy.
I and others have had to suffer years, yes years, without rate of inflation pay offers, and even no pay rise.
It is nationally recognised that nursing is in fact a professional role, then why do we continue to bear the brunt of all government cutbacks through no fault of our own?
They are in the process of attempting to disregard now, increments of pay scale, this would mean a newly-qualified nurse who cannot progress in her experience and pay would remain on a paltry £22,290 salary, this is total salary which equates to three times the MPs are actually getting as a pay rise!
Plus, let us not forget what they call expenses.
So yes, for once it appears we have an MP who actually does think of others as well as himself.
