Re tackling the congestion on the roads around Leigh and Lowton and other towns.
Wonderful idea to open up Glazebury old station. I believe this to be possible but the powers that be have put up objections to this idea.
It would appear they can only consider the four-and-a-hlaf-mile guided bus scheme which has needed millions of pounds to be spent on expensive road alterations to give the scheme any chance of working.
Big problem is the suggested railway stations are in Warrington and nobody in Warrington is interested, it would appear.
The scheme to open stations at Kenyon Junction and Glazebury are both cheap and so simple with little disruption to people’s lives.
I only hope somebody with power and authority will take these schemes up and give us some proper transport to so many destinations. South of France in a day, easy.
