THIS photograph of a beautiful sunset at Pennington Flash Country Park is our picture of the week.
The shot was taken last month by amateur photographer and artist Linzi Rigby, of Birch Road, Leigh, who has been taking pictures of landscapes and animals for more than four years.
The 31-year-old said: “With this shot I just tried to capture a beautiful serene moment with this sunset and I am really happy with it.
“As an artist I do murals and portraits, but as a photographer I try to take pictures of my surroundings.
“I hope to better my skills and taking my photography further, perhaps getting good enough to open my own studio one day or become a professional photographer.”
