COULD someone from Wigan Council please explain why there is currently traffic counting around Lane Head in Lowton and Warrington Road in Golborne.
We are in the summer holiday season and the traffic around Lane Head is noticeably down on previous weeks.
I have enquired in previous years when traffic counting was carried out on Stonecross Lane before the new housing development and was told the schools had not broke up yet.
I can only assume people without children also go on holiday when the schools break up or the traffic census is being fudged, especially now there are going to be 450 more houses in Golborne.
That many homes equals a minimum of 900 cars.
I do not expect to get a reply from the council.
